1. Service Agreements
Welcome to Sonic Haven Studios! By engaging our services, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. These terms govern your use of our recording studio facilities, equipment, and the expertise of our audio engineering team. It's important to read these terms carefully before booking a session with us.
A formal service agreement will be provided and must be signed prior to the commencement of any recording session. This agreement will outline specific details regarding the scope of the project, deliverables, payment terms, and any additional services requested. The service agreement will take precedence over these general terms and conditions in the event of any conflict.
Any changes to the scope of the project outlined in the service agreement must be mutually agreed upon in writing and may result in adjustments to the project timeline and cost. We strive to be flexible and accommodating to your needs, but we also need to ensure that our resources are managed effectively.
2. Payment Terms
All recording sessions and services are subject to the payment terms outlined in the service agreement. A deposit may be required to secure your booking, and the remaining balance is typically due upon completion of the session or as otherwise specified in the agreement. We accept various forms of payment, including credit cards, debit cards, and cash.
Invoices will be provided for all services rendered, detailing the work performed, the hours spent, and any applicable taxes. Payment is expected within the timeframe specified on the invoice. Late payments may be subject to interest charges or other penalties as described in the service agreement.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee, as outlined in the service agreement. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, but we need to protect our scheduling and resources.
3. Liability
Sonic Haven Studios shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings brought onto the premises. Clients are responsible for safeguarding their own equipment, instruments, and personal items. While we take reasonable precautions to ensure the security of our studio, we cannot guarantee the safety of unattended items.
While we take great care in handling client projects, Sonic Haven Studios is not responsible for any loss of data or damage to recordings due to unforeseen circumstances, such as equipment malfunction, power outages, or natural disasters. We recommend that clients maintain backup copies of their recordings and project files to mitigate any potential risks.
Clients are responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses and permissions for the use of copyrighted material in their recordings. Sonic Haven Studios assumes no responsibility for copyright infringement or other legal issues arising from the client's use of copyrighted material.
4. Disclaimers
Sonic Haven Studios provides its services on an "as is" basis and makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the quality or suitability of the services for a particular purpose. We strive to deliver high-quality recordings and exceptional customer service, but we cannot guarantee specific outcomes or artistic results.
We reserve the right to refuse service to any client for any reason. We value a respectful and collaborative environment in our studio, and we will not tolerate any behavior that is disruptive, offensive, or illegal.
These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. It is the client's responsibility to review the most current version of these terms and conditions before engaging our services. We will make reasonable efforts to notify clients of any significant changes to these terms.
5. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing, the client retains all rights to the intellectual property created during the recording session. Sonic Haven Studios does not claim ownership of the client's music, lyrics, or other creative works. However, Sonic Haven Studios retains the right to use excerpts of client recordings for promotional purposes, such as on our website or social media channels, unless the client specifically requests otherwise in writing.
Any session files, multitrack recordings, or other project data generated during the recording session will be provided to the client upon full payment of all outstanding invoices. Sonic Haven Studios will maintain a backup copy of the project data for a reasonable period, but we are not responsible for archiving or long-term storage of client projects. It is the client's responsibility to ensure the safekeeping of their project data.
6. Studio Use and Conduct
Clients are expected to treat the studio facilities and equipment with respect and care. Any damage to the studio or equipment caused by the client or their guests will be the responsibility of the client, and the client will be liable for the cost of repairs or replacement.
Smoking, vaping, and the use of illegal substances are strictly prohibited in the studio. We maintain a clean and professional environment for the comfort and safety of all our clients and staff.
Clients are responsible for the conduct of their guests while on the premises. We reserve the right to ask any person to leave the studio if their behavior is deemed disruptive or inappropriate.
7. Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Davidson County, Tennessee.
